Mega Wheels: Review of the Ultimate Dice Slot Game

Mega Wheels is Air Dice’s most popular dice slot game on the Belgian market. With a jackpot of up to €25,000, an extra pot and a cashback wheel (!), this game is designed to spoil you. This generous dice game has been available on Magic Betting Casino for a while now, and in this review we will share our experience with this game!

How does Mega Wheels work?

Mega Wheels is a simple dice game, where you see four squares that each fit nine dice.

The game throws three dice above the playing area and you place them where you think they fit best. If a combination is possible, the corresponding box flashes so you can’t miss it.

You can also play with the keyboard. For example, Q, W, E and R select the first, second, third and fourth boxes, respectively. A, S, D and F do the same.

It takes some getting used to and sometimes you grumble if you accidentally select the wrong box, but it does mean you can play much faster.

Winning Potential

In Mega Wheels, you can set the bet from €0.25 to €25 per turn. With the combinations (five win lines from left to right) you can win a certain number of points. Depending on these points, you will receive a prize.

At the top right there is also a prize table and the additional scoring rules. For example, if you have a combination in three fields, your winnings are multiplied by 1.5. If you win in four fields, it is doubled and if you have a field full of the same dice, on top of the points from these combinations, you will also receive 200 points!

Autoplay

In Mega Wheels, you can also use the autoplay feature to place the dice automatically, as the game recommends. This is not always the best choice for your strategy, but it’s always an option if you don’t feel like searching by yourself. You can also enable autoplay in the settings. In that case, the game plays completely independently.

Mega Wheels Boosts

To start the boost game, you must place 3 boost symbols diagonally or side by side in the same slot. The boost wheel gives you a chance to win several great prizes:

Extra points
Mystery games
Extrapot
Jackpot

In the boost game you get to spin the wheel. If the wheel stops at a prize you are happy with, you can accept it and return to the normal game. Are you not satisfied with the prize? Then you can reject it and spin it again. You can do this up to four times. The prize on which the wheel stops on the fifth spin is automatically awarded.

Please note that any refused prize is grayed out on the wheel and cannot be won again. If the wheel stops at such a gray prize on the last spin, you win nothing at all.

Extrapot

If you manage to get three dice with the boost symbol in a row in the same box, you will enter the boost round. This round begins with a spin of the boost wheel. Using the boost wheel, you have a chance to win the jackpot or the extra pot.

Although there are many online dice games with a jackpot, it is Mega Wheels’ extra pot that makes it so special. While the normal jackpot increases with each game, the extra pot always stays at the base amount. This gives you an extra chance to win a big prize. If you fail to win a jackpot, you have the choice to accept or decline the prize won. If you decline the prize, you can spin the boost wheel again and try again to win a jackpot. You can do this up to four times, with the fifth prize being awarded automatically.

Cashback Wheel

The Cashback Wheel is an original concept in the world of dice games. Each time you play a round and do not achieve enough points to make a profit, you receive one additional coin in the Cashback Wheel. You must collect a total of 30 coins to spin the Cashback Wheel. On the wheel are 100, 150, 200 and 250 points, as well as Mystery games. The number of coins on the Cashback Wheel depends on the bet you play with. For example, if you had 20 coins at a bet of €0.25 per round and you increase the bet to €1 per round, you will have 0 coins on the Cashback Wheel. Don’t worry, if you go back to €0.25 per round, your 20 coins will come back!

Test: Playing Mega Wheels with 100 Spins

As with all our reviews, we tested each slot game by spinning 100 spins, because that’s how you really find out how good it is. As always, we decided to bet €0.25 per spin.

Our test started well with a return of €0.50. We were hoping for a positive trend and that happened as early as the 16th round with our first boost! With this boost, we had used all our five free spins and won 250 points, which amounted to €1.25.

After that, we continued to earn regular returns between €0.50 and €1.50, with an activation of the Cashback Wheel on the 38th spin. This earned us 150 points, resulting in a return of €1.25.

We kept going and although the wins became less regular, we still scored another boost on the 64th spin, followed by another boost and a spin of the Cashback Wheel on the 75th spin.

After that there were no more boosts, but we did score regular winnings between €0.50 and €1.00. After the 100th spin, we ended with an amount of €102, which meant that we had made a profit of €2.00.
